They significantly guided me and other students to a more advanced understanding of ancient texts, and they appropriately prepared me to have a greater understanding of current research methods and standards. The lectures varied in style allowing for unique input from every teacher.

The Athens MA in Ancient Philosophy is a unique opportunity to learn how to approach Classical authors from different perspectives.

Timo ZARAKOVITIS (Netherlands)
The most important positive aspects of this MA for me were the standard of professors and the ability to work with many international students. The professors are extremely knowledgeable in their fields and the invitation of more guest scholars really showed the great quality of this MA. The ability to debate with the other students, who all have different backgrounds, interpretations and ideas. I got motivated to think differently and work as hard as possible.

Julia ZGURZYNSKI (USA)
One of the program's strengths is the way it integrates contemporary scholarship, both in coursework and by inviting the students to many philosophy conferences. Thanks to this program, I have now read and written about articles by dozens of current scholars from around the world, and have even listened to some of them present at conferences. As a result, I feel much more informed about the topics and questions currently being researched in ancient philosophy, as well as the best ways to approach ancient texts.
