EVENTS IN ANCIENT PHILOSOPHY

Athens has a vibrant philosophical community. Conferences, lecture series, informal reading groups, and other events are organized by university departments, scholarly societies, institutes, and independent groups. The Athens MA in Ancient Philosophy organizes The Athens Colloquium in Ancient Philosophy, a forum for research and discussion on all topics and aspects of Ancient Philosophy, including its modern reception.

This page lists events in ancient philosophy (or events expected to be of interest to scholars and students of ancient philosophy) taking place in Athens (as well as in Patras and Crete, home to our partner universities). Its aim is to inform interested audiences and to help avoid scheduling conflicts between events.
Each event is held in the language of its title.
If you would like your event to be listed, please send it to our email address (AthensMA@phs.uoa.gr) in the format used here, so that it can be added with a simple copy-and-paste. You may include a link to the event, provided it is embedded in the title.
